This was awesome I love how with that one line, you made my heart give a little tug for Buffy because she feels like it's a betrayal toward Dean. It'd be interesting to see what Sam thinks of the two of them together.

Title: Still Life - Empty Rating: Pg-16 Pairing: B/D, B/S Warning: Character Death Spoilers: None Summary:This started as a one shot drabble for Lisa's B/D community and ended up as a series of Buffy/Sam drabbles instead. Fickle muse... Disclaimer: I don't own any of these characters but I do enjoy playing in Joss' and Kripke's sandboxes. Author's Notes: So... Turns out I'm a dirty liar since this piece is not 6 parts anymore. So far it's at 8 with an end but it may yet grow. Sorry! HUGE thanks to Ky - for putting this image of Sam in my head and convincing me the series needed something more. You're the best, woman! ***
The sun streams through the broken blinds the next morning- bright unapologetic rays shining a spotlight on Sam's side of the bed.
Empty.
Slipping into worn jeans, she pads through the room on bare feet. Looking out the dirty window, she spots him sitting on the tailgate of the truck.
Hesitant, she wraps herself in one of Sam's giant hoodies and wanders out of the room to perch beside him.
He doesn't look at her, just continues to worry Dean's necklace between his thumb and forefinger as she waits.
When they come, his words are strangled, "What are we doing?"

Hey, you won't find me complaining that this is going to be more than six parts! I'm really loving every glimpse you give us of this 'verse. I just felt my stomach clench at the idea that rather than burn the amulet with Dean, Sam kept it and now he's worrying it because he just slept with Buffy. This is so angsty but I love it. I really like that while they both seem to have questions, neither of them stopped what they were doing.

I'm hearing little whispers of Sam now when I write so I may actually get his POV out one of these days In the meantime, I'll keep telling Buffy's side. Thanks again for encouraging me w/ this series!

Title: Still Life - Brave New World Rating: Pg-16 Pairing: B/S Warning: Character Death Spoilers: None Summary:This started as a one shot drabble for Lisa's B/D community and ended up as a series of Buffy/Sam drabbles instead. Fickle muse... Disclaimer: I don't own any of these characters but I do enjoy playing in Joss' and Kripke's sandboxes. Author's Notes: Many thanks to Ky and Lisa for their input and excellent cheerleading skills. ***
She's not sure what to say to that.
Answers have always been someone else's deal and, truth to tell, she's still getting used to finding her own. Without Giles or Willow or Dawn, she's rudderless. It's equal parts terror and exhilaration as she finds her own way.
Sam, she thinks, is the same. So much of his life was decided before... but it's a brave new world. For them both.
She has no answers to give, so she settles for a shrug and smiles as she closes her hand over his, feeling the warmth of the metal between their fingers.

Oh man I love that whole rudderless comment. I think it rings so true with Buffy and where'd she'd be. Just beautiful.

I love the description of Buffy being terrified, yet exhilerated on her own and the fact that she didn't give an actual answer to Sam but just smiled and shrugged. They're definitely not putting labels on anything yet. And hee, I love that this got even more parts!

Another gorgeous drabble! I can't wait to read more!!! Thanks! The next part should have already been posted but then it became "not the next part after all" since Sam keeps demanding more scenes. :: dramatic sigh :: He's such an attention whore sometimes. At any rate: More soon! Thanks for reading and feeding each new bit.

They're definitely not putting labels on anything yet. And hee, I love that this got even more parts! Heh... Yeah, it just kinda keeps growing. I blame Sam. I'm glad the description worked for you. I tend to see Buffy as someone who had a lot of very adult responsibilities for a very long time but never really got to have the kind of freedom that most people get as they transition to adulthood. For me, at least, it was like any good rollercoaster - one moment you're dipping, careening down at warp speed with your stomach dropping out and the next? Well, the next you've got that giant grin on your face and all you want is for the ride to go on longer. ...and wow. Look at me ramble! Thanks again for all the encouragement and feedback on this series. More should be up soon, Sam-willing.

Ack, so sad and tragic... i kinda feel bad for sammy since buffy, i feel, would never 100% be in love with him, she's always going to be htinking of Dean... poor sammy....
